How we met (Leke's POV)

Leke's POV:

Class had started and the professor gave her greetings. In walks this petite lady, a few mins late and boldly sat in the front row of the class. She sat one row ahead of me. There was a group project assigned and we were to pick partners by the next class. As class ended she asked me if I was Nigerian and I told her yes. We smiled and she went her way. I had to make sure she was going to be my partner for this project. I asked her the next class meeting and she said yes. We talked about everything except that project for the coming weeks. The rest was history! From project partners to life partners. When you know, you know.

How we met (Yetty's POV)

Yetty's POV:

"He looks Nigerian, but what type of haircut is that?" Was the thought that crossed my mind as I shamelessly walked into class late on the first day of the semester. I took a seat a row in front of him; I knew I had to say something to him, but the thought of a girl talking to a guy first? "Nope, absolutely not doing it!".

I spent the whole class debating if I should say something... or not.
I couldn't help it, so when class was over, I approached this tall, handsome chocolate man. I asked if he was Nigerian, and he said "Yes" with a smile, revealing his fine dimples (I became instant mumu). At that point, the "Juice cut" hairstyle he had that I initially thought was "gang-like” didn’t matter.

It was love at first sight, there was something about him I couldn't shake off. He was sent to me from God, my reminder that God supersedes all things. I knew I found my own and my peace. It has been a decade since then and I look forward to 10 more!
